About Cave of Cussac

The cave, which is 116 meters above sea level, developed in Cretaceous-Campanian limestone and contains numerous exceptionally large engravings and rare human burials from the Gravettian period (here dated at 29-30000 years BP). Several speleothems have been studied in order to date to Entrance collapse and other ground deposits.
