ARCHAEOLOGY
« Advances in the accuracy of speleothem dating (often better than 1% at 2σ and
extending up to 500 ka) make them an important tool for improving our understanding
of prehistoric cultures. The speleothems presented here come from archaeological sites
and have provided key chronological benchmarks, some originating from well-known
prehistoric sites.
Because of their importance for the geochemical interpretation of speleothems, we
present here, when available, data from monitored sites: photographs, 3D images, maps,
monitoring data (temperature, drip rates, atmospheric pressure, pCO₂, etc.), and related. »
