Sample Description and others measurements : Entire small stalagmite that grew under dripping station #1A in the Lower Galleries. These galleries were flooded until the end of the eighties in Winter by the small river than entered inside the cave until that time. The hydrology was changes during the national program called 'remembrement'. An isotopic profile was done at a low resolution; it shows a decrease in d13C likely due to the developpement of the forest over the cave and/or SUESS effect. We have put, at the exact place of this sample (Vil-stm#1A) a slate in order to collect modern calcite. The modern stalagmite which grew on ot since 1999 is about 4 cm high at the moment (2026).
